Pam received her early training at the National Ballet under the tutelage of her mother, Helen Moore, as well as with CCA Charter Member Gertrude Edwards Jory, Gioconda Fillippinni, and Robert Davis. Her Diploma studies were with Margaret Marsh and Laura Wilson, former pupils of Maestro Enrico Cecchetti. She earned a B.A. in Dance and Music from the University of Maryland.


Pam received full scholarships to study the Cecchetti Method in England, and she was awarded her Maestro Cecchetti Diploma from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Cecchetti Society of London, England.  


A principal dancer with the National Ballet Company for over 30 years, Pam has danced every major role in the repertoire. She also has been Artistic Director of the National Ballet Company, affording dancers from various countries opportunities to perform professionally in the U.S.  Choreographic grants have been awarded to her by the Maryland State Arts Council, the Prince George’s Arts Council, and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County.


As a teacher, her extensive career covers classes and workshops taught throughout the U.S. as well as in England and Canada. She has been on the faculties of the University of Maryland, Bowie State University, and Suitland High School Magnet School for the Arts as well as teaching at Hope College for the CCA International Summer School and Teachers’ Course.


Her students have won awards and scholarships, and have performed professionally both in the U.S. and abroad. Pam has presented countless teachers for Cecchetti exams including the Maestro Cecchetti Diploma.


With the Cecchetti Council of America, she served for 25 years as Co-Chair of the Board of Examiners, and she continues as a Permanent Examiner and Liaison Officer, as well as being an advisor for the committee planning the Specialized Teacher Training and Examination Program to be presented at the CCA International Summer School and Teachers’ Course in 2021.  For the CCA's East Coast Committee, she has twice served as Chairman and Board Chairman.


She is Chairman of the Cecchetti Institute, a 501 C-3 organization dedicated to the work of Enrico Cecchetti as he taught it.


A devotee of all aspects of art, she is a talented artist working in oil paintings and also plays the piano. Pam lives in Tracey’s Landing, Maryland with her husband, John, and has two daughters, two grandchildren, and a house full of exotic birds.
